JD1200State-of-the-art in Covered Yarns

SwissTex has been researching, improving processes and manufacturing machines for many years in order to offer a large range of covering equipment with different technologies.

A covered yarn is made of a core wrapped by one or more yarns.
The core is in most cases an elastomeric high elasticity yarn, or natural rubber extruded from latex. The covered yarns are mainly polyamide or polyester.
A wide range of yarn can be processed to cover all needs of the world market from count 8dtex to 220dtex for the covered yarn.
End uses of these products are for apparel such as hosiery, stockings, sportswear and technical yarns. They are mainly for knitting and weaving applications.

SwissTex has developed four product lines:

  • Single covering with the G 316 E or G 316 EM,
  • Double covering with the G 307 UE,
  • Single / Double covering with the combined machine G 367 E,
  • Air covering with JD 1200

The JD 1200 is a high speed air jet covering machine with an individual modular design per position.

G307Main characteristics:

  • Straight yarn path,
  • Double sided configuration (independent sides),
  • Central computer system allowing programming and setting all functions of each position by frequency inverters,
  • Slow start system per position for knotting at take up,
  • Accurate oiling device.

Yarn metering per position

All above machinery are engineered to achieve the best quality of covered yarns.
