swisstext-technical-centerSwissTex site in Valence has in its bosom a nerve centre, the textile laboratory, intended for research and development and the realization of customer trials before or after machine sale. The complete range of machines is represented in the laboratory: textile, carpet, glass, tire cord and industrial yarns. One finds there the latest machines like the UT 50 twister for industrial yarns, the CDDT 20 twister & direct cabling machine for carpet yarns, the CP 10 direct cabling machine for the production of tire cords and the RT 10 ring twister for glass yarns.

Well equipped Laboratory

The machine laboratory room is completed with a test laboratory. It is equipped with modern measuring apparatus (Instron, Zweigle, Uster, Textechno) and operated by an innovative team of technologists and technicians. This facility enables SwissTex to work under excellent conditions on the customer trial realization, and on the evolutions of the machines and new processes of yarn production such as twisting & cabling.
For example, the research on the production of ‘Hybrid Cabled Yarns’ intended for the tire industry, offers new prospects in various applications out of industrials yarns. The new ‘Wool Touch System’ designed for the production of BCF yarns with hairiness, enables the production of synthetic tufted or woven carpets with natural effect intended for the floor covering market.

This Technological Centre is frequently visited by customers for trials or training.  These contacts reinforce the high level of interactions with customers. Training in a calm and focused environment, far from daily disturbances of operational business, is very efficient and effective for customers. In addition, in these facilities, dedicated to training and development SwissTex appreciates to learn about customer needs and discuss solutions. This dialogue often leads to new technical challenges!  
This SwissTex centre is also used to train SwissTex’s own sales engineers and technicians on the latest technical evolutions. SwissTex makes sure that its sales force can satisfy all the needs of customers regarding information about technical innovations and special applications.
